Fancy the chance to know more about the diverse culture in the different part of Taiwan? Now, VYA TAIWAN is recruiting international volunteers to serve the children in Lanyu, a small island off the southeast coast of Taiwan. With your passionate participation, we can bring the world to them through your sharing of your fabulous cultures. On the other hand, you will have a chance to make friends with Taiwanese young volunteers, get further understanding about the unique Tao (also known as “Dáwù-zú”, one of the Taiwanese aboriginal) culture and experience the astonishing scenery there.
Application Period: February 15, 2008~April 15, 2008.The postmark deadline is April 15, 2008.Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be processed.
General Qualifications: International students are defined as students, who have neither R.O.C. nationality according to Article 2 of Nationality Law nor overseas Chinese student status. Also included are those who held R.O.C. nationality but have ceased to process the nationality for at least 8 years since the date, on which a revocation was issued from Ministry of the Interior, up to the date of which the semester begins.
Application fee: NT$1600/US$60(Postage for admission/rejection letter included)
Date of release of admission results: June 6, 2008 on admissions homepage (http://www.nccu.edu.tw/admissions/) On June 9~10, 2008,acceptance/Non-accepance letters will be sent.
