National Chengchi University (hereinafter referred to as "NCCU") is noted for its Taiwan studies, China studies, and East Asia Studies. This summer, Institute of International Relations, Graduate Institute of Development Studies, Department of Sociology, and Office of International Cooperation at NCCU collaborate to offer the program ¡§Cross-Strait Relations and International Affairs.¡¨ This program is aimed at providing students a systematic analysis of the cross-Strait relations from different perspectives and their interactions with the international communities. | |
Courses

The program offers three-week intensive courses. Each course is 36 hours long and worth 2 credits. Classes are in session from Monday through Friday and students may register for a maximum of 2 courses. All courses are taught in English by a faculty team of renowned and outstanding scholars. The program, "Cross-Strait Relations and Contemporary International Affairs," consists of three courses: Domestic Politics and Cross-Strait Relations, Taiwan Strait Security and Cross-Strait Relations, and World Politics and Cross-Strait Relations. | |
Prerequisite

Applicants must be enrolled in a university or college and are junior, senior or graduate students. They are expected to be able to understand English lectures and communicate in English in class. *NCCU also welcomes researchers (postdoc or permanent academic) to participate in the program. | |
